Episode 10 - Wes Davey of Iraq Veterans Against the War

Tonight on Panopticon we speak with Wes Davey of Iraq Veterans Against the War. Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) was founded by Iraq war veterans in July 2004 at the annual convention of Veterans for Peace (VFP) in Boston to give a voice to the large number of active duty service people and veterans who are against this war, but are under various pressures to remain silent. Wes was active in the military for almost three decades, and participated in the invasion of Iraq in March of 2003. Wes joined Iraq Veterans Against the War after his retirement from the military in 2005. Since then, Wes has been an outspoken critic of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has tirelessly devoted his time to spreading awareness regarding the wars, and the prospects for peace. Intro music by Eric Copeland. Enjoy!
